Lee Celebrates 70 Years of Innovation

During the week of July 9th, The Lee Company will celebrate its 70th year of providing innovative solutions for critical fluid control applications. All 1,000 employees will gather on the Westbrook, Connecticut campus for a company-wide picnic, which will feature a speech by Captain Sully Sullenburger, the pilot of the “Miracle on the Hudson” aircraft. Lee Company parts were used in the aircraft’s Ram Air Turbine, which helped Captain Sullenburger maintain control of the aircraft as he landed the plane in the Hudson River, saving everyone aboard.

Founded in 1948 by Leighton Lee II, The Lee Company is still a family owned and operated company today, and continues to carry on Mr. Lee’s commitment to superior quality, reliability and performance.
