Location: Westbrook, CT | Full Time

Job Description:

Machine Repair Technicians plan, layout and perform highly diversified work to maintain and repair all types of CNC turning and injection molding machines, components of production machines and equipment. The position requires a high degree of knowledge, skill, and experience in machine repair, installation and trouble shooting. Good communication, organizational skills and adherence to company safety policies and procedures are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults, errors and/or malfunctions on all types of CNC machines and injection molding machines.
  • Replace or rebuild various pneumatic, hydraulic machine components.
  • Design, fabricate and install electrical components, and electronic control components for new or modified production equipment. Repair touch screens and CNC controls as needed.
  • Perform mechanical repair operations. Rebuild machine drive components; replace clutches, brakes, bearings, and belts. Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on rebuilding precision rotating machinery, spindles, gears units alike, realignments, replacement of axis rails, ball screws, servos drive on machines axis.
  • Competent use a variety of hand and power trade tools
  • Problem analysis and solving
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities
  • Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision
  • Use of windows and Microsoft Office programs and functions
