The Lee Company Featured on WTNH’s CT Buzz for “Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut” Finals

The Lee Company was recently featured on a WTNH’s CT Buzz segment as a finalist in the 2026 “Coolest Thing Made in Connecticut” competition. President and CEO, Marietta Lee joined the Director of Operations of The Waterbury Button Company to celebrate the strength and diversity of Connecticut manufacturing.

During the interview, Marietta touched on The Lee Company’s long history of supplying miniature fluid control components for critical space applications, including the space suits that helped astronauts breathe during the first steps on the moon.  Today, that legacy continues with our Satellite Propellant Isolation Valve — the product selected for this year’s competition. This miniature, precision‑engineered valve sits between a satellite’s propellant tank and its thruster feed system, creating a reliable barrier that preserves precious propellant until it’s needed and helps ensure mission readiness. As a critical fluid control component in a satellite, our valve directly supports the GPS, communications, and weather forecasting systems people rely on every day.
