All fluidic systems must have adequate filtration to ensure that the fluid does not contain debris which will impact performance. This may mean using a 4 micron filter made from inert plastics to protect against dust particles entering a medical or scientific analyzer or using a 10 micron high pressure steel filter to protect gaseous satellite propulsion systems.
