This unique valve is designed to function as a normally open check valve. As the flow rate increases beyond a specified value, a poppet shuts against the valve seat to stop the flow. Individually designed to meet custom requirements, the valve is available in 0.187 in, 0.281 in, 0.483 in, 0.798 in, and 1 in diameters. Shut-off flow rates can be tailored to meet application needs.

The Lee Company has developed the Lohm Laws for defining and measuring resistance to fluid flow. The Lohm is defined such that 1 Lohm will flow 100 GPM of water with a pressure drop of 25 psi at a temperature of 80°F.
