The Pneumatic Latching Solenoid Valve offers an optimal solution for applications where low power consumption, tight leakage control, and a compact package are critical. The valve’s details are derived from our pneumatic isolation solenoid valve, which is capable of achieving leakage rates better than 1×10⁻⁶ sccs on helium. This design incorporates a latching feature that uses permanent magnets in the coil, allowing the valve to remain in its current state when de energized or during a power loss. At 3.2 ounces, this valve delivers reliable performance in the smallest package size. The design draws upon on MultiSeal® technology to radically simplify port layout and provide significant space and weight savings. This valve can be used as a replacement for pyrovalves.

The Lee Company has developed the Lohm Laws for defining and measuring resistance to fluid flow. The Lohm is defined such that 1 Lohm will flow 100 GPM of water with a pressure drop of 25 psi at a temperature of 80°F.
Always verify flow calculations by experiment.
