This miniature, 2-way, normally closed solenoid valve is capable of controlling small volumes of liquids or gasses. It can achieve response times as fast as 500 μs and operate at speeds up to 500 Hz. This valve’s combination of size and performance is ideal for applications in SmallSat and CubeSat propulsion, either as a thruster or for fuel metering in gas feed systems. This design is rated for pressures up to 800 psig and temperatures up to 275°F.

The Lee Company has developed the Lohm Laws for defining and measuring resistance to fluid flow. The Lohm is defined such that 1 Lohm will flow 100 GPM of water with a pressure drop of 25 psi at a temperature of 80°F.
