Sr. Automation Engineer

Position: Sr. Automation Engineer
Location: Westbrook, CT  | Full Time

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in a related Engineering discipline.
  • 3-D SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Office, Excel & Project.
  • Experience should include automation platforms such as synchronous rotary/linear indexers, servo linear/rotary indexers and motors, articulating robots, and pneumatic & servo pick and place.
  • Familiarity with fastening, dispensing, assembly, marking, testing & vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs concept development of automation solutions.
  • Participates in and conducts design reviews of automated machines.
  • Design, detail, create BOM and release reliable automation and test solutions that meet quality objectives.
  • Review the machine sequence, control requirements, and electrical components with the control’s engineer.
  • Ensures that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, and machine operation are resolved and the design/drawings produced. 
  • Supports manufacturing following release of machine from ramp-up through full volume production.
