Make sure to sign up and be one of the first to get your hands on the Disc Pump Development Kit when it launches in March 2024.
The Lee Company’s Piezoelectric Disc Pump Development Kit enables customers to rapidly evaluate the unique features that our set of pumps offer, including:
After evaluating technical feasibility, customers can use the Disc Pump Development Kit to develop new product prototypes. The advanced functionality of the kit includes:
These features provide a versatile platform for developing a wide range of products for microfluidic and liquid handling systems for a range of industries including medical and industrial. The Disc Pump Development Kit will start shipping in early 2024.
The Disc Pump Development Kit is a versatile platform for product development, enabling control of multiple pumps. With the onboard pressure sensor (plus compatibility with a range of external sensors) and integrated valve drivers, the kit offers advanced fluidic control, including closed-loop pressure/vacuum regulation and air and liquid flow control.
Customers can mount a Lee disc pump directly on the motherboard. In addition, up to four Lee Smart Pump Modules can be connected to the motherboard with cables.
The kit can be controlled by the Disc Pump Control App or by the Motherboard. More advanced control is possible via the USB-to-serial interface. Our Python code snippet library provides examples of how to get started. The Development Kit also includes a screw terminal block, enabling control by other development platforms (e.g. Arduino) via an analog and digital I/O interface.
Note that Disc Pumps and valves must be purchased separately. This enables customers to select the exact model(s) that they wish to test. For help selecting the right model for your application, please speak to a Lee Sales Engineer.
Always verify flow calculations by experiment.
