LT Series Disc Pump

This robust piezoelectric disc pump can deliver 17,000+ hours of continuous operation under the most demanding conditions. Combining silent operation, pulsation-free flow, millisecond response, and high precision in a compact form factor, these piezoelectric disc pumps provide accurate, ultra-smooth pressure and airflow control of gases. The LT Series Disc Pump can be mounted as a Smart Pump Module that includes integrated drive electronics and pressure sensing.

Product Information

General Specification
Characteristic Specification
Free Flow Rate 1.20 L/min
Pressure Range -220 mbar to 270 mbar
Silent1 <10 dB
Operating Temperature -13°F to 104°F (-25°C to 40°C)
Control Precision2 Less Than 0.1%
Response Time Ultra-fast Millisecond Response
Turn-down Ratio3 Infinite
Recommended Filtration4 Less Than 3 μm
Compact Size 29 mm Diameter
Lightweight 5 g
Humidity Range5 0 to 95% RH
Pumping Medium6 Air
1Per ISO 226:2003 and related studies; 30 cm equivalent measurement distance.
2Pressure and flow: requires pump under closed-loop control with suitable sensor and drive electronics.
3The disc pump's piezoelectric drive actuator has no stall speed. The pump can be controlled continuously between 0 and 100% maximum output.
4The use of an inlet filter with a pore size of 3 μm or less is strongly recommended to prevent the ingress of particulates that might otherwise limit the lifetime of the pump.
5Non-condensing; ingress of liquid-phase water will halt pump operation.
6Liquid may be pumped indirectly in a pressure-driven flow or air displacement regime.
Materials

All disc pumps are RoHS compliant.

Electrical Operation
  • Typical driver requires 3.7 to 5 VDC power supply.
  • Pump requires AC drive waveform of 20-22 kHz. Pump drive voltage must not exceed 48 Vrms.
  • Power: 0 to 1 W (continuous)
  • Pump efficiency is application dependent.
  • Drive PCB and evaluation electronics are available.
  • Reference circuits and firmware are available to support product integration.
